Getting on to the Campus
You MUST register for the conference before Sept. 13, 2019. There will be NO onsite registration. For US citizens to gain access to the campus, you must bring one of the following forms of ID:
- Real ID compliant state-issued driver’s license
- valid passport
- passport card
- DOD’s Common Access Card (CAC)
- Veterans ID
- Federal Agency HSPD-12 IDs
- Military Dependents ID
- Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
- TSA Trusted Traveler ID
If you are not a U.S. citizen, you will need to fill out a separate online form within 3 business days after registration. The form can be accessed here https://appam.certain.com/profile/53657. You will also need to present a valid passport or alien registration card to gain access to the campus.

Social Events: The Wednesday opening reception will be held at the Courtyard. The hospitality suite on Wednesday will also be at the Courtyard. The hospitality suite on Thursday will be at the Hilton. See below for public transportation options between the hotels.

Public Transportation from Airports to the Hotels
Reagan to Courtyard: Blue or Yellow line to Metro Center Station – Red line from Metro Center Station to Shady Grove Station – Bus #74 from Shady Grove Station to Washingtonian Blvd & Waterfront Pl – Prices vary for time of day – There are other routes, but this may be the most direct weekday route.
BWI to Courtyard: 201 Commuter Bus to Shady Grove Station ($5) – Local bus #74 from Shady Grove Station to Washingtonian Blvd & Waterfront Pl – There are other routes, but this appears to be the most direct weekday route to me.

Public Transportation Between the Hotels
Courtyard to Hilton: Catch bus 54 (yellow) at the intersection of Washingtonian Blvd. and Rio Blvd. Exit bus at Perry parkway and 584. The ride is about 20 min.
Hilton to Courtyard: Catch bus 54 (yellow) at Perry parkway and 620. Exit bus at the intersection of Washingtonian Blvd. and Waterfront Pl. The ride is about 20 min.
The Hilton also offers a local transportation shuttle to the Washingtonian Rio Center where the Courtyard is located, but space will be limited, and it will likely make other stops.
Transportation from Hotel to NIST for Conference
There will be a morning shuttle from the Courtyard and the Hilton to NIST, and an evening shuttle back.
